It shall be a guiding principle of the Conference that burial of the dead is one of the Corporal Works of Mercy.

The purpose of this Conference is declared to do whatever is necessary, proper and desirable toward achievement of the following objectives with relation to all Roman Catholic cemeteries and their personnel.

To provide a forum for the discussion of, and dissemination of information concerning all phases of Catholic cemetery development, operation and maintenance.

To assist Catholic cemetery personnel in the understanding and solution of their cemetery problems by the assembling of accurate information with reference thereto.

To assist Catholic cemetery personnel in the continuous improvement of cemetery services in the respective Archdioceses and Dioceses served by them.

To foster and promote the religious, charitable and educational interests of Catholic cemeteries and their beneficiaries in cemetery service.
